  1. What is Abhishekagni Retreat?

It is a Catholic Spiritual Retreat which includes daily Holy Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Praise and Worship, Healing Prayers, Spiritual sharing, Confession and Powerful classes based on Word Of God.

  1. When are the Retreat?

The retreat starts on December 27th, Wednesday and ends on December 30, Saturday.

  1. What time do retreat begin and end?

Registration and check-in starts at 3:00 p.m. followed by Opening Prayer and Holy Mass on the first day and ends at 1:00 p.m. on the last day.

  1. Who leads the retreat?

Retreat led by Rev. Fr. Binoy Karimaruthunkal (Director, Sehion Retreat Center Attappadi) and his Team Members from Sehion India, Sehion UK and Sehion USA. Team members may include Fr. Saju Elanjiyil as well.

  1. Who can attend the retreat?

Retreat can be attended by all age groups. There will be four separate sessions. 1) Adults session in Malayalam. 2) Youth session in English for above 16 years old. 3) Teenagers Session in English. 4) Little Angels Session in English for 6-11 years.

  1. Is babysitting available?

Babysitting will be arranged for kids under 5 years only for few hours a day, if conditions permits.

  1. Do only Catholics go to this retreat?

No, it is open to anyone who may be interested in a peaceful life.

  1. Do I have to stay all time?

Yes, it is mandatory to stay all time.

  1. How much does the retreat cost?

Contribution from the retreatants are needed to meet the expenses of the retreat which includes accommodation and food. Suggested minimum contribution is $250 for above 18 and above years old, $225 for age group 13-17 , $200 for age group 6-12 and $175 for age group 4-5. Contribution is not required for infants 3 years and below.

  1. How do I register for the retreat?

Visit www.sehionusa.org for online registration. If you are not able to register online, you may provide your details to any of the registration contact persons and they will help you to complete the online registration.

  1. How do I confirm my seat?

You will receive a confirmation email when SehionUSA receives your full contribution.

  1. How can I submit my contribution for the retreat?

You can submit your contribution to the retreat in two different ways; by online through SehionUSA website using major credit cards, or by mailing in a check with your registration details. There will be a 3% service fee for the card payment, but no service fee for check payment. You can send checks payable to SehionUSA¬Ě to the address SehionUSA, 509 Zenith Dr, Glenview, IL 60025

  1. What about accommodations?

The retreat takes place at Hilton North Hotel, Houston, TX. Family members may be accommodated in one room. Single person may share the room with another person and there might be up to 4 persons in a room.

  1. What about food?

Dinner will be provided on Wednesday. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be provided on Thursday and Friday. Breakfast and lunch will be provided on Saturday. Indian food will be served for adults and a mix of Indian and American food will be served for Children and youth.

  1. Is there any fasting during the retreat?

Yes, we may skip one meal. But food will be provided if there is a request from the retreatant.

  1. Which is the airport closest to the Retreat Venue?

George Bush Intercontinental airport (IAH) is the closest to the Retreat Venue. Houston Hobby Airport (HOU) is accessible as well.

  1. Is transportation available to the Retreat Venue?

Ground transportation will be provided by hotel every 30 minutes from George Bush Airport ( IAH). Free shuttle service will start at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Return service to the above two Airports will start at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Those who are flying to Houston Hobby will need to arrange their own transportation.

  1. Is parking available at the retreat venue?

Yes, free parking is available at the retreat venue.

  1. Can I arrive early on the day of retreat begins?

Plan to arrive during the Registration and Check-in period unless personal arrangements have been made.

  1. Can I stay extra nights before or after retreat?

It is possible, but contact the hotel directly for your reservation for the additional nights and you may pay directly to the hotel. However, you may get a discounted rate if you introduce yourself as a Sehion Retreat Participant.

  1. Can I participate in less than the full retreat?

You are required to attend the full retreat.

  1. Can I leave the retreat venue during the retreat?

No, it is a closed residential retreat.

  1. Can I attend the retreat as a commuter?

No, it is a closed residential retreat.

  1. What if I need to cancel my registration?

Cancel your registration online as soon as you know that you are unable to attend. Cancellation will not be possible after the registration dead line.

  1. When is the registration deadline?

December 10th is the registration deadline.

  1. Do I lose my contribution if I have to cancel?

If you cancel before the registration dead line, your contribution is fully refundable. If you cancel after this stated date your contribution will be donated to SehionUSA

  1. Can I transfer my registration to another person?

No.

  1. What items should I bring on retreat?

Bible, Notebook, Pen, Rosary and personal items. Sheets blankets, pillow, towels and soaps are provided by Hotel.

  1. Do I receive special instructions before the retreat?

You will receive all the needed information for the retreat via email well in advance.
